Honolulu, HI (February 17, 2023) – Two 17-year-old students from McKinley High School were struck by a vehicle on a roadway in Honolulu. At approximately 1:00 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the crash scene on Kapiolani Boulevard. 

Police report the crash occurred on Kapiolani Boulevard near Kamakee Street when the two teenagers were crossing the roadway. They were hit by a car that did not stop at a red light. 

One teenager was transported to the hospital in critical condition, while the other was transported in stable condition. The roadway was closed while emergency crews were present, causing significant delays in traffic. 

Authorities are investigating the details of the collision at this time.
