Auto Accidents in Hawaii
Every year, Hawaii experiences a significant number of crashes that result in significant injuries. Traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and internal organ injuries are among the most frequently reported injuries following automobile accidents. Unfortunately, there are a variety of factors that contribute to these motor vehicle accidents taking place so frequently in Hawaii.
Distracted driving stands out as a leading cause of accidents. When drivers are not paying attention to the road, it increases the chances of them not seeing other vehicles or people nearby in time to avoid a collision. Engaging in phone conversations or texting take the attention of the driver off the road, often leading to devastating accidents and resulting injuries. Speeding is another common factor in automobile accidents, as it significantly impacts a driver’s ability to maintain control and respond to sudden changes in traffic patterns.
Aggressive driving, which often includes tailgating and reckless actions, endangers drivers who are traveling nearby as they can result in drivers losing control of their vehicles. Even though the majority of accidents that take place here in Hawaii are preventable, innocent people continue to suffer serious injuries as a result of the negligence of others every single day.
