Honolulu, HI – Two Dead in Cessna Plane Crash on Aolele St near Inouye Airport

Honolulu, HI (December 18, 2024) – First responders confirmed that two people were killed when a plane crashed into a building near Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 3:05 p.m. on Aolele Street. State officials said a Kamaka Air Cessna 208 Caravan was conducting a training flight when it crashed into the top of a vacant, state-owned building that was slated for demolition before hitting the ground. Both people on board died. Authorities continued to investigate the details of the accident, and no additional information was released.
