Honolulu, HI – Truck Collision w/Injuries Reported on Kam Hwy in Windward Oahu

Honolulu, HI (November 22, 2024) – Officers with the Honolulu Police Department were requested to assist at the scene of a crash in Windward Oahu, which shut down Kamehameha Highway in both directions for several hours Friday.

It happened at around 10:30 a.m. near Crouching Lion, and images from the scene show a flatbed truck transporting heavy machinery had lost its load near a turn in the roadway. Medical personnel responded to care for any injured victims, but the total number involved, as well as their current conditions, is unclear. The crash is currently being investigated in the meantime.
