July 30, 2023

Honolulu, HI (July 30, 2023) – A three-year-old boy is currently in critical condition after a traffic accident happened on Friday night in Honolulu. Sources say the accident happened in North Kona when the boy was traveling with his father, his father’s girlfriend, and their five-year-old daughter.

The crash happened on the Queen Kaahumanu Highway when the family was pulling over to assist another driver with car problems on the highway. They were then rear-ended by a 26-year-old woman.

The father, girlfriend, and their daughter were all sent to Kona Community Hospital with injuries and later released. However, the young boy was transported to a hospital on Oahu, where he remains in critical condition.

The other driver, a 26-year-old female, was arrested in collectin with the accident.

Few other details are currently available to report.

We hope for the full recovery of the injured victims.

Car Accidents in Hawaii

In the United States, more than 40,000 people are killed yearly in auto collisions. The majority of these accidents occur due to the actions of negligent drivers. Especially in the past ten years, driver negligence has become one of the main reasons serious and fatal accidents happen. This is most likely due to the fact that most individuals can’t go long without looking at their cell phones. Even if they are behind the wheel of a moving vehicle on a busy road, some drivers still feel the need to look at their phone screens. Even if it is for five seconds, they are risking their own lives and that of those around them. When a car crash occurs due to driver negligence, anyone who is hurt in that crash is eligible for financial compensation.

Sustaining a serious injury in a car accident can be extremely difficult, no matter how it happened. You may be stuck in the hospital suffering from painful injuries, emotional turmoil, and financial issues. You may be facing lost wages, costs related to vehicle repairs or replacement, and more. A car crash lawyer in Hawaii can help you gather financial compensation for these damages and more. Even non-economic damages, such as pain and suffering and emotional turmoil, are eligible for financial compensation.
