Honolulu, HI – Three Hospitalized in Bus Accident at Clayton St & Kapiolani Blvd

Honolulu, HI (September 17, 2024) – Three women are in serious condition following a car and bus collision in Kakaako on Tuesday afternoon, according to Honolulu EMS officials.

EMS officials said the incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Clayton Street and Kapiolani Boulevard. Officials say EMS responded to a car and bus collision and sent multiple units to treat five patients. Authorities added that they treated three patients, two of whom were bus riders and one of whom was in the car, and transported them to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

Three women, aged 61, 49, and 74, were the patients. Two others declined transportation after paramedics evaluated them on the site. That said, there is no word on what circumstances led up to the collision. No further details were released in the meantime, and an investigation is still ongoing.
