Fatal Motorcycle Crashes in Hawaii

Honolulu, HI - Teen Badly Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Pali Hwy

If you or a member of your family was injured or killed in a negligence-based motorcycle accident, you may be eligible for damages for your hospital bills, lost earnings, pain, suffering, and other losses. You need proactive legal representation and an attorney who can help you exercise your rights.

Even if they obey all safety protocols laid out by the state, such as wearing an approved helmet and appropriate protective gear, riders still have almost no defense against the impact of a car. This is why motorcyclists are far more vulnerable to being seriously injured or killed during a collision with another vehicle. Motorcyclists are always in danger of being hit by another driver. They also have to worry about common road hazards, such as slick roadways, cracks, and potholes.

According to statistics studied by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration in 2017, about 25 motorcyclists die every year in Hawaii crashes, and hundreds more are left seriously injured. While there is no one standard type of motorcycle accident, the feature they all share is that they are usually violent and the injuries catastrophic. Over 80% of motorcycle accidents nationwide result in injury or death to the rider.

In the event that the negligent driver offers you an apparently generous settlement, do not accept it. Do not agree to anything until an experienced lawyer examines the facts of your case.

Our Honolulu motorcycle accident lawyers can effectively calculate whether or not the settlement amount is really as generous as it seems and press for more if it isn’t. If the negligent driver still refuses to pay you what you deserve, we will take your case to trial.
