Honolulu, HI – Several Injured in Traffic Accident on Kamehameha Hwy near Kualoa Ranch

Honolulu, HI (August 1, 2023) – Several individuals, including a 6-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision in Kaneohe on Saturday afternoon, July 29.
The Honolulu Police Department reports that the incident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on the Kamehameha Highway near Kualoa Ranch. Police and paramedics went to the scene to help the individuals involved in the accident shortly after the crash took place.
Five people were in need of medical care at the scene and transportation to the hospital. They were said to have sustained serious injuries in the accident. Two other people involved declined medical attention at the scene.
The collision closed the highway in the area for a period of time while crews worked to help those involved. Authorities in Honolulu continue to investigate.
