Honolulu, HI – Semi-Truck Accident Causes Injuries on Nimitz Hwy at Sand Isle

Honolulu, HI (December 16, 2024) – Officers with the Honolulu Police Department said a flipped semi-truck after a crash shut down multiple lanes on Nimitz Highway near Sand Island Monday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the scene around 7:45 a.m. Photos from the scene show the truck’s load of metal scraps piled on the roadway. Medical personnel responded to care for any injured victims, but the total number involved, as well as their current conditions, is unclear. The crash is currently being investigated in the meantime.
