Hawaii Auto Accidents

Car accidents happen in Hawaii all the time. Each year, over 10,000 traffic collisions are reported across the Big Island. Throughout the country, approximately 6 million car accidents happen each year. Unfortunately, over 3 million people are hurt in these collisions, and around 40,000 lose their lives. Car accidents have become one of the main reasons individuals in the United States are killed, and individuals ages 15-20 most often lose their lives due to severe auto collisions. These collisions can occur for several different reasons, including bad weather and vehicle malfunctions. However, driver negligence is the main culprit that causes the majority of car crashes throughout the United States. Drivers who allow themselves to become distracted while behind the wheel are the leading cause of a large percentage of car crashes that take place across the nation. Driver distraction reportedly causes over 400,000 car accidents per year.

Additionally, speeding, intoxication, and fatigue are other common forms of driver negligence displayed by American drivers.
