Honolulu, HI – Pedestrian Critically Injured in Crash on H2 Fwy in Wahiawa

Honolulu, HI (February 21, 2023) – A pedestrian was critically injured in a traffic accident that occurred in the early morning hours of February 20. The crash happened at approximately 12:30 a.m.
Sources say the accident occurred on the H2 Freeway in the Wahiawa area. A 31-year-old driver was headed north in the shoulder lane on the H2 Freeway when he crashed into a 60-year-old male pedestrian who was headed south in the shoulder lane.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. The driver stayed at the scene and aided in the investigation. After further evaluation, the man was arrested for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of an Intoxicant.
Authorities in Honolulu are still investigating the details of the accident.
