Honolulu, HI – One Killed, One Hurt in Car Crash on Ala Wai Blvd near Liluokalani Ave

Honolulu, HI (November 29, 2022) – On Friday morning, in Waikiki, Honolulu, an 85-year-old man lost his life after his involvement in a serious motor vehicle accident. The crash was reported to officials at around 8:30 a.m. 

Reports indicate the incident occurred on Ala Wai Boulevard near Liluokalani Avenue. According to information provided by the Hawaii Police Department, the man and his 87-year-old passenger were headed west on Ala Wai Boulevard when, for currently unknown reasons, he swerved right and struck a tree. 

The man was transported from the scene to a local hospital where he later lost his life. His female passenger sustained injuries and was also transported to the hospital. Neither of their names has been reported at this time. 

Authorities in Honolulu continue to investigate.
