Honolulu, HI – One Hospitalized After Collision on Kaukonahua Rd

April 9, 2024

Honolulu, HI (April 9, 2024) – An auto accident in the Honolulu region occurred on Kaukonahua Road near the S turn, prompting officers from the Honolulu Police Department to respond.

At around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, EMS units made a call to the Honolulu Police Department. Authorities verified that one person was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Tow vehicles were also on-site to assist after the apparent rear-end wreck, according to the police. Still, the total number of individuals involved, the number of vehicles involved, and the circumstances leading up to the incident are all being investigated. Witnesses were asked to step forward as soon as possible.

Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their families.

Multi-Driver Collisions in Honolulu

All too often, persons throughout Hawaii are injured in auto accidents on the Big Island and other areas throughout the archipelago every year. Regretfully, carelessness on the part of any individual can result in a severe crash that fundamentally alters the lives of the people affected, and multi-driver accidents tend to be particularly serious.

A rear-end accident is one of the most frequent types of collisions, especially at intersections involving two to three motorists or more, such as in a chain-reaction wreck. These crashes, which are also known as fender benders, usually happen at busy junctures and on highways during slowing traffic or stop-and-go rush hours.  Oftentimes, injuries include whiplash and muscle pain or occasional bone breaks. That said, several other types of injuries may arise from these wrecks, particularly if high speeds were involved, including more severe head and cervical trauma, pelvic breaks and strains, leg injuries, chest crushes, and other abdominal wounds.

Sadly, anybody involved in any car crash might suffer serious injuries, regardless of the cause or type of collision they were involved in. It is only fair that you may receive justice if you were injured in an auto accident. Legal representation from a Honolulu auto accident attorney will assist in guaranteeing that the driver of your collisions is held liable for their actions.
