Hawaii Motorcycle Crashes
Motorcycle accidents happen constantly in the United States and across the state of Hawaii. Due to its beautiful scenery and weather, motorcycling is extremely popular in the Aloha State. Sadly, individuals who become involved in motorcycle collisions are often more severe than other kinds of accidents. This is due to the fact that motorcyclists travel with little to no protection.
Additionally, the majority of motorcycle accidents happen due to the actions of negligent drivers. Over half of reported motorcycle collisions in the US happen due to the actions of intoxicated, fatigued, and distracted drivers. The most common form of driver negligence in the Aloha State is failing to yield the right of way. Common motorcycle injuries include:
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Bone breaks/Bone Fractures
- Damage to the spine
- Disc Injury/Disc Herniation
- Death
Catastrophic injuries usually end in catastrophic economic hardship. From hospital expenses to lost wages to severe pain and suffering, the economic damages of a motorcycle collision can be completely devastating to crash victims and their family members. If you or a loved one were injured in a collision in Hawaii, you should consider how the collision took place. If it was due to the actions of a negligent driver, you most likely have legal options available to you that can help you during this arduous time.
The financial consequences that stem from a motorcycle collision must be dealt with as soon as possible. Being stuck in the hospital with serious injuries while the bills are stacked up against you can be overwhelming and stressful. You may be eligible to gather financial compensation for a long list of damages that resulted from your collision.
