Honolulu, HI – Man Riding Moped Hit & Injured in Crash on S King St

Honolulu, HI (September 17, 2024) – According to officers with the Honolulu Police Department, a 55-year-old male moped rider remains hospitalized in serious condition after being hit by a car in the Manoa area Tuesday morning.

It happened around 6:00 a.m. morning on South King Street, just east of University Avenue. Honolulu EMS said the moped rider was hit by a vehicle and suffered a head injury and multiple abrasions. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition. However, local law enforcement authorities are still investigating the crash, and no further details were released. The HPD is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them in the meantime.
