Honolulu, HI – Man Critically Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Hickam Overpass

Honolulu, HI (September 21, 2023) – A man is in critical condition after he was involved in a traffic accident caused by a wrong-way driver on the Hickam overpass. The collision occurred on Saturday, September 16. According to reports, a 19-year-old woman was driving the wrong way on the highway when she crashed into his vehicle.
The 28-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and hit a concrete wall before flipping over and falling onto the Arizona Memorial off-ramp on the H1 Freeway.
Due to the accident, the man is in critical condition and the woman suffered serious injuries. Neither has been identified at this time.
Police continue to investigate the details of the crash.
