Hawaii Car Accidents
Tens of thousands of car accidents happen in Hawaii every year. On average, the state sees approximately 10,000 vehicle accidents per year. This is equal to about 30 per day. Some of these crashes only end in property damage, however, a percentage of them cause serious injuries and even fatalities. Car accidents have become a leading cause of death and personal injuries in the United States in the past decade, most likely due to the extreme popularity and use of smartphones.
The state of Hawaii is no stranger to driver negligence. Currently, some leading causes of car accidents in Honolulu, the largest city in the state, include speeding, intoxication, and distraction. Driver distraction is the most common cause of traffic collisions throughout the entire country, responsible for over 400,000 traffic accidents per year. Sadly, over 3,000 people lose their lives in these accidents.
Driver negligence is a serious issue in Hawaii and throughout the United States. If you or someone you love has recently been injured in a crash caused by a negligent driver, you deserve to be able to recover financially without having to worry. A personal injury lawyer in Honolulu can help you collect financial compensation so you can pay for medical bills and vehicle repairs and receive reimbursement for lost wages. You may have been stuck in the hospital, unable to work and make a living due to your injuries, and you may have been unable to see your family and friends, which could have been stressful and depressing. Even non-economic damages like pain, suffering, loss of life enjoyment, and more may be eligible for financial compensation.
