Hawaii Auto Accidents
Despite the incredible safety features in today’s vehicles, the number of car accidents on American roadways continues to rise. Car wrecks cause over 4.5 million Americans to become injured each year. In Hawaii, we see our share of auto accidents, with thousands of them reported yearly and hundreds of people who lose their lives. It’s simple to think that a crash will never happen to you, however, the reality is that the majority of drivers will become involved in approximately four vehicle collisions throughout their life.
Car wrecks are almost always totally unexpected. Before you know what’s happening, you’ve become involved in a severe auto accident and are in need of professional medical attention. It’s unfortunately impossible to prevent every crash from happening, but you do have the ability to protect your rights when an accident does occur.
If you or someone you love has been hurt in a car wreck in Hawaii, it is likely the wreck was caused by a negligent driver. The majority of the car crashes that take place in the Aloha state are caused by speeding and intoxicated driving. These two types of driver negligence cause tens of thousands of deaths in the United States every single year. Distracted driving is another common reason auto crashes happen in Hawaii. In one recent year, distracted driving accounted for over 20% of all traffic accident deaths in the state. If your wreck was caused by a negligent driver, you likely will qualify for financial compensation for a number of different damages after your accident.
