July 22, 2023

Honolulu, HI (July 22, 2023) – A major car wreck was reported to police in Honolulu on the night of July 21. Emergency crews were dispatched to the wreck site shortly after it happened at around 11:30 p.m.

Reports from authorities show the incident happened on Kunia Road near Kunia Camp. Two or more cars crashed in the area and caused at least one person to become injured.

The roadway was closed for some time on July 21 while authorities and paramedics worked at the scene in an effort to help the people involved and investigate the details of the incident.

Local drivers were forced to use different routes of travel for the time being. Our thoughts are with those involved as we hope for their full recovery.

Hawaii Car Crashes

Each day, around 30 major car crashes happen throughout Hawaii. Auto accidents are the leading cause of death and major injuries in the United States, particularly among people ages 15 to 20. Every year, approximately six million car accidents happen across the country. These catastrophes cause over three million people to become injured annually and take the lives of roughly forty thousand.

Alarmingly, most of these crashes happen due to the actions of reckless, careless, and otherwise negligent drivers. Thousands of people choose to operate their vehicles while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, while they are texting, or speeding. Millions of people sustain injuries yearly due to accidents caused by these drivers. When someone sustains injuries due to driver negligence, the injured party and/or their family can collect financial compensation for their losses and damages.

After being hurt in a car accident, you may suffer a great deal. In addition to dealing with painful and maybe even debilitating injuries, you may also be worried about how you’ll afford the costs related to your crash. Dealing with everything on your own may be difficult and stressful.

Depending on the nature of your accident, you may qualify for financial compensation that could assist you in recovering from the resulting losses. A car crash attorney in Hawaii may be able to help you file a personal injury claim so you can get help recovering.

Negligent drivers must be held liable for the damages they cause. This is so they are less likely to danger others in the future. The Honolulu car accident attorneys at Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner have many years of combined legal experience helping accident victims hurt by negligence to make full financial recoveries.
