Auto Collisions in Hawaii
Fatal car crashes in Hawaii are often caused by numerous types of driver negligence. Speeding and driver intoxication are two of the most prevalent forms of negligent driving in the Aloha State. Accidents that occur because of the actions of negligent drivers result in more fatalities than any other type of crash. Driver negligence/error is the most common denominator in Hawaii car crashes.
Approximately 1/4 of deaths related to traffic collisions in the United States were caused by drunk driving in 2020. Approximately 75% of those killed had been drinking and driving at the time of their passing. Two side effects that occur when we drink, including impaired vision and judgment, are extremely dangerous when operating a motor vehicle. When car crashes are caused by intoxicated drivers, they are usually more catastrophic and deadly.
