Honolulu, HI – Injuries Reported in Moped Wreck at Ka Uka Blvd and Moaniani St

July 7, 2022

Honolulu, HI (July 7, 2022) – A moped accident reported early Thursday morning left at least one person injured. At around 515 a.m., on July 7, the Honolulu Police Department, firefighters, and emergency medical services were all dispatched to the scene of a crash on Ka Uka Boulevard.

According to reports from the Honolulu Police Department, a moped was involved in a collision near the intersection of Ka Uka Blvd and Moaniani Street during the early morning hours. The incident prompted the police and firefighters to block off several lanes at the intersection as they worked to clear the scene.

Medical personnel rendered aid to the rider on the moped on-site. The victim was then transported to a local hospital where they underwent further treatment for injuries.

The police and the Honolulu fire department remained on-site for an extended period as they worked to clear the scene.

At this time, investigations to determine the cause of the crash are underway.

Our thoughts are with the victims injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
