Honolulu, HI – Injuries Occur in Residential Fire on Ala Moana Blvd

Honolulu, HI (February 18, 2025) – Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, the Honolulu Fire Department responded to a fire in a 16th-story residence on Ala Moana Boulevard.

HFD responded minutes after the call with approximately 52 personnel, who were able to secure a water supply and fight the blaze. An off-duty firefighter who happens to live in the building was also able to initiate a fire attack on the flames.

It’s unclear how many people were hurt in the incident, but EMTs were at the scene. In the meantime, the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no further details have been released. However, witnesses were asked to get in touch with the MPD right away if they had additional information related to the fire.
