Hawaii Pedestrian Accidents

Being hurt in a car crash can be scary and painful. An experience such as this is not something anyone wants to deal with. People who suffer injuries in auto collisions may suffer for prolonged periods, putting strain on their emotional, physical, and financial well-being. Pedestrians often suffer more severe injuries than those who are hurt in other types of accidents. This is because they are totally unprotected against the force of large, heavy vehicles.

Depending on the severity of their injuries, those who are injured in traffic accidents may need to stay in the hospital for days, weeks, or even longer. They may have to undergo extensive medical treatment and possibly even have surgery in order to fully recover. Treatment like this can be exhausting, costly, and time-consuming.

Hawaii sees tens of thousands of traffic collisions yearly. On average, around 20,000 sustain injuries in these wrecks. Unfortunately, most of the accidents reported in Hawaii and across the nation occur due to negligent driving. Intoxicated, distracted, or fatigued driving is selfish and dangerous and may end in fatal accidents. Working with a car crash lawyer in Honolulu is the surest way to collect compensation after you were injured in a crash caused by negligence.

Medical care costs, wage loss, vehicle repairs, and more may be eligible for financial compensation when you file a personal injury claim with a lawyer. Even intangible damages like pain, suffering, loss of consortium, and more can be paid for by way of financial compensation depending on the extent and cause of the crash. A personal injury attorney can help you determine whether you are entitled to compensation for your injuries.
