Honolulu, HI – Fatal Pedestrian Collision at Kaiser Med Ctr Under Inquiry

Honolulu, HI (October 13, 2024) – According to officials from the Honolulu Police Department, a 75-year-old woman passed away on Friday after being struck by a vehicle in the private parking area of the Kaiser Medical Center in the Moanalua area.

Per officials, the incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Police said a 51-year-old female motorist was exiting the Kaiser Medical Center parking structure and attempted to make a left turn to exit. The 51-year-old motorist then hit the 75-year-old woman while making her turn.

Following the collision, the 75-year-old woman was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. She ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was declared deceased. Officials stated that speed, alcohol, and narcotics do not appear to have been factors in this collision at this time, but an investigation is ongoing.
