Hawaii Car Crashes

If you or someone you love has sustained injuries in a severe crash, you may be going through an extremely trying time. Yearly, throughout the nation, millions of individuals are injured in auto collisions. In fact, about 3 million are hurt annually in these wrecks while approximately 40,000 lose their lives. Sadly, the majority of these accidents are preventable and caused by the actions of negligent drivers. In fact, approximately 400,000 vehicle crashes happen per year caused by drivers who are distracted while about 3,000 end up losing their lives in these crashes.

Unfortunately, negligent driving is behind the majority of injuries and deaths in the United States. For instance, individuals aged 15-20 most often lose their lives in auto accidents. Additionally, more Americans lose their lives in auto collisions than due to gun violence every single year. Considering the fact that the National Highway Traffic Safety Association found that over 93% of reported car accidents happen due to negligent driving, this means that driver negligence causes more injuries and death than a lot of other dangers in the US. This is hard to fathom, especially when we consider the types of negligence that exist among drivers today. Most often, drivers are intoxicated, fatigued, speeding, or distracted. These are all extremely preventable and selfish acts that end in injuries and death for thousands, if not millions of people per year.

Being hurt in a severe crash can send you to the hospital for days, weeks, or longer, where you must undergo invasive and expensive medical care. The average cost of sustaining a severe car crash injury and receiving hospital care is in the tens of thousands of dollars in the United States. The average American does not have the money available to pay for these types of injuries and the care needed to recover from them. Therefore, oftentimes, people who suffer severe injuries in auto accidents often go broke trying to recover and have their entire lives upended by their accidents. Sadly, a lot of people end up losing their jobs, homes, and even their families due to sustaining severe injuries in accidents.
