Honolulu, HI (July 26, 2022) – A car accident that caused injuries and a utility pole that was knocked over due to the crash led to the extended closure of a roadway on the Big Island on Tuesday, July 26th. 

The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on Kaumana Drive in the area of Nolemana Street and Lyman Springs. 

The immediate area was closed for more than four hours as EMTs treated and transported at least one patient and crews worked to repair the damage to the utility pole.  

No further details have been made available.
