Honolulu, HI - Car Crash Results in Injuries on H1 W near Punahou StEach year, thousands of crashes are reported in Hawaii that result in significant injuries. We see many people hospitalized with traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and even internal organ injuries as a result of their accidents. There are many factors that contribute to the number of motor vehicle crashes that take place in our state.

Distracted driving continues to be one of the most common causes of vehicle crashes in Hawaii. Distracted driving is dangerous because it increases the chance of making a mistake while behind the wheel. One of the most common distractions that we see people engaging in while behind the wheel is talking or texting on their phones. This can lead to a devastating accident with injuries.

Speeding makes it harder for drivers to control their vehicles and increases the chances of an accident occurring. Speeding also decreases the amount of time a driver has to react to a hazard on the road.

Aggressive driving includes behaviors such as tailgating, weaving between lanes of traffic, making improper lane changes, and engaging in other reckless behaviors. These actions put other drivers at risk and can lead to car accidents.

Wet and slick road conditions can also contribute to vehicle accidents here in Hawaii. If you’ve been hurt as a result of an automobile accident, you may be able to take legal action.
