Hawaii Vehicle Accidents
Each year, over 6 million traffic collisions occur throughout the United States. Around 3 million individuals are injured in these accidents, while more than 40,000 are killed. Tens of thousands are injured in Hawaiian car crashes every year, while hundreds lose their lives. These accidents occur for several reasons. However, most of the time, they happen due to the actions of negligent drivers.
Drivers who act carelessly, recklessly, or otherwise negligently place themselves and everyone around them at severe risk of debilitating injuries and/or fatalities. Driver negligence is responsible for more than 2 million becoming severely injured each year in the United States. Some leading types of driver negligence in the US are:
- Intoxication
- Distraction
- Fatigue
- Speeding
On average, more than 400,000 traffic accidents happen each year in the US due to distracted driving. Sadly, over 3,000 individuals lose their lives annually because of drivers who are distracted. Also, more than 11,000 are killed yearly because intoxicated drivers choose to get behind the wheel. Lastly, fatigued driving is the culprit behind 100,000 auto accidents annually.
These statistics prove the dangerous and prevalent nature of negligent driving in the United States, especially over the past ten years. Individuals aged 15-20 most often lose their lives due to car crashes in the United States. Car accidents are also one of the top ten reasons Americans of any age lose their lives.
