Honolulu, HI – Body Found on H2 at Ka Uka Blvd Connected to Fatal Hit-and-Run

Honolulu, HI (August 07, 2022) – Honolulu police were on the scene when a body found on the H-2 freeway was linked to a fatal hit-and-run on Saturday, August 6th.
Officials said the incident occurred at about4:15 a.m. in the area of the exit for Ka Uka Boulevard.
According to sources, the adult female pedestrian who has not yet been identified was walking alongside the southbound lanes when she was struck by an unknown driver.
Making no attempt to seek help, the driver then fled the scene, abandoning the woman.
It is unknown if speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the incident.
HPD closed the southbound side of the H-2 and the exit ramp for Ka Uka Boulevard for investigation.
