Hawaii Auto Accidents

Honolulu, HI - Auto Collision Results in Injuries on Kalanianaole Hwy near Hawaii Kai Golf CourseCar crashes are, unfortunately, a rather common occurrence in Hawaii and throughout the United States. Every single day, tens of thousands of crashes are reported to authorities in the US. Approximately 7,500 people are injured in these collisions daily, and approximately 100 people lose their lives.

Auto collisions can happen for a multitude of different reasons, however, the majority of car crash causes are related to driver negligence. Negligent driving has become a prevalent problem in the United States in the past decade. Most people believe this is due to the constant use of smartphones and other handheld technology in our society.

For example, driver distraction was a contributing factor in nearly 3,000 auto collisions in the United States in 2018 and over 400,000 injury accidents. Distracted driving is defined by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as any activity that takes a driver’s attention away from the roadway and their immediate surroundings.
