Hawaii Car Crashes
Every year, Hawaii witnesses numerous crashes that result in significant injuries. Traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and internal organ injuries are just some of the most common injuries reported following these crashes every day in our state. Various factors contribute to the occurrence of motor vehicle crashes in our state.
Distracted driving remains a leading cause of accidents in Hawaii, as it increases the likelihood of motorists making mistakes while driving. Talking or texting on phones is a common distraction, often leading to devastating accidents and injuries. Speeding also poses a significant risk, making it harder for drivers to maintain control and react to hazards on the road.
Aggressive driving, including tailgating and reckless driving actions, puts others at risk and can result in car accidents. Additionally, wet and slippery road conditions contribute to accidents. The unfortunate truth is that the majority of these accidents are completely preventable. However, we continue to see innocent people hurt as a result of drivers who are reckless and negligent.
