Honolulu, HI – 28-Year-Old Moped Rider Injured in Crash on Kamehameha Hwy near Lanikuhana Ave

Honolulu, HI (February 24, 2023) – A moped rider, age 28, sustained critical injuries after being involved in a rear-end crash in Mililani on Thursday night, February 23. Police said the crash occurred at around 7:00 p.m.
Reports indicate the collision took place on the Kamehameha Highway about a mile south of Lanikuhana Avenue. Information from police shows the unidentified moped driver was headed south on the highway when it was rear-ended by a vehicle.
A second vehicle trying to avoid the collision accidentally struck the moped rider. At this time, no one involved has been identified to the police.
Paramedics treated the injured victim at the scene and transported them to a local hospital for further care. Nothing else has currently been reported.
