Halawa, HI – Injury Accident Reported on H1 near Hickam AFB Exit

Halawa, HI (November 18, 2023) – The Honolulu Police Department and area firefighters were requested at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in the Halawa area and ended in injuries. The crash was reported to law enforcement at around 5:00 a.m. on November 16.
According to law enforcement reports, a collision blocked the eastbound lanes of H1 in the area near the Hickam Air Force Base exit. The incident prompted authorities to move their vehicles to the right shoulder of the road in order to allow traffic through. Two tow trucks responded to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles. Injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Emergency medical services cared for the victims and transported them to local hospitals. The accident is currently being investigated.
