Hawaii Car Accidents
Throughout the United States, auto crashes happen constantly. Each day, nearly 20,000 car accidents are reported that injure over 7,000 people. Each year, more than 6 million car crashes are reported that injure over 3 million individuals. Sadly, over 40,000 people will lose their lives due to auto accidents in the United States every year. Car problems, road construction, and drivers who are careless, reckless, and negligent are three common reasons auto accidents happen in the US. Unfortunately, driver negligence is the main reason traffic accidents take place throughout the country and in the state of Hawaii. In one recent year, over 20% of Hawaiian auto accidents were the result of driver negligence.
Driver negligence can be displayed in numerous ways. Drivers choose to drive while distracted, fatigued, intoxicated, or at unsafe speeds. Right now, driver negligence is the most commonly seen type of driver negligence in the US, causing over 400,000 vehicle collisions per year. This is most likely due to the extreme and constant use of smartphones. Even while behind the wheels of moving vehicles, people think it is necessary to check their social media, phone calls, and texts. It can wait, but your life can’t. About 3,000 people lose their lives per year due to the actions of distracted drivers. These numbers are comparable to the crash rates in the most populated states in the US, like Texas, Florida, and California.
It can be overwhelming and difficult to be injured in a serious auto accident. You may be stuck in the hospital for weeks or longer while you recover, unable to work and see your friends and family. This can be depressing and anxiety-inducing. Sadly, some injuries that result from severe auto accidents will affect victims’ lives for longer than just a couple of years–they will see permanent disabilities for the rest of their lives. You may be feeling worried, anxious, and depressed due to your recent accident. This, paired with debilitating injuries and stacking medical bills, can make for an overwhelmingly stressful experience. An attorney can help you through this difficult time.
You may be eligible to collect financial compensation for the expenses that stem from your crash. Basically, you may be able to sue the individual who caused your injuries. A lawsuit like this is called a personal injury claim. It can help you recover financially when you’re injured by the negligent actions of another person. You may be able to collect compensation for medical care costs, repairs to your vehicle, lost wages, and more.
