Ewa Beach, HI – Fatal Vehicle Collision on Renton Rd near Park Row

Ewa Beach, HI (November 22, 2022) – On Monday, November 21st, Honolulu Fire Department crews were notified via a 911 call about a fatal vehicle collision in the Ewa Beach area.
HFD responded to the scene in the area of Park Row and Renton Road, near Ewa Mahiko District Park, at about 7:35 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered that a light-duty pickup truck had slammed into a light pole and one of the vehicle’s passengers was trapped inside.
Using battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools, firefighters were able to free the injured victim in about 15 minutes.
According to Emergency Medical Technicians, the driver of the vehicle, a 58-year-old man, died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under police investigation at this time. No further information has been made available.
