Passenger Injuries in Hawaii

Aiea, HI - Car Crash on Wiliko St Leaves One Injured, Hundreds Without Power

In Hawaii, a lot of passenger accident claims show that the negligent driver at fault for the crash is a good friend or even related to the injured passenger.

Passengers who sustained severe injuries in a motor vehicle accident caused by a reckless or negligent driver are entitled to quality legal representation. After being injured in a collision, they have the same right to pursue a financial settlement for damages in a Hawaii personal injury claim as a driver.

According to Hawaii, passengers retain this entitlement even if the driver who was liable for the crash was the driver of the car in which they were riding.

To be awarded financial compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and other damages caused by the accident, the injured passenger will have to file a claim with the friend’s or relative’s auto insurance company.

If they choose not to do so, they will have no course of action for recovering money for their exorbitant medical bills, lost wages from being unable to work, and numerous other damages they could have collected under Hawaii law.
