The Freeway Safety Patrol, police officers, and emergency responders responded to the scene in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, inside the Zip Lane, near the Kaonohi overpass at about 11:55 a.m.

Motorcycle Crashes in Hawaii

Aiea, HI - Accident Involving Injured Motorcyclist on I-H1 at Kaonohi Overpass

If you or a loved one was significantly injured during a motorcycle accident, you are most likely wrestling with the devastating nature of injuries like bone breaks, brain injuries, back injuries, or neck injuries. Your case needs to be evaluated by a skilled attorney as quickly as possible.

The weather in Hawaii is mild and pleasant year-round, making conditions very conducive to daily outdoor activities. It is common for visitors to the islands to rent cars so they can drive around and admire the stunning scenery or quickly access the numerous beaches and other recreational areas.

Regrettably, these drivers, distracted by unfamiliar roads and unforgettable landscapes, often fail to see bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles until it is too late. In addition to locals, many visitors relish the adventure that comes with riding these vehicles and are the unlucky victims of negligent drivers.

The sooner a lawyer intervenes in your case, the more readily their investigators will be able to reconstruct all of the essential factors of your crash. Invaluable evidence, such as obstructive shrubbery, skid marks, wet asphalt, and eyewitness statements, becomes much harder to obtain and evaluate as time passes.

The combination of a distracted driver, a vulnerable motorcyclist, and the often congested conditions of freeways such as Kalakaua Avenue, Kamehameha Highway, and Kalanianaole Highway in Honolulu often lead to tragic results for those riding motorcycles.

We have witnessed for ourselves the severe physical and mental trauma endured by our injured clients and are just as anxious about what the future holds.
